SOiL have reunited with original lead singer and founding member Ryan McCombs (on loan from the band Drowning Pool) for the 10th anniversary of their breakthrough album Scars, released Sept 11th 2001, featuring hits “Halo” and “Unreal”. For PUDDLE OF MUDD, these upcoming shows will be the first time the band has toured the UK since 2002.
This tour will coincide with the release of DEAR SUPERSTAR’S new studio album, ‘DAMNED RELIGION’ available September 2011. DEAR SUPERSTAR RETURN TO DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL ARMED WITH NEW ALBUM03/06/2011
GLOBAL MUSIC are pleased to announce the return of DEAR SUPERSTAR with a performance at this year’s DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL. Hitting the Redbull stage at 4.45pm on Saturday 11th June, DEAR SUPERSTAR will unleash an arsenal of new material from their forthcoming, second studio album, ‘DAMNED RELIGION’, set for release in September 2011.
“We last played Download Festival in 2009, which lead to an insane 2 year touring schedule with some of the biggest bands in the world. Returning to Donington this year with the new record is like a new beginning for us! And we’re more blood thirsty than ever!” says frontman Micky Satiar.
Produced by David Jones at the bands own Superstar Studios and mixed by legendary producer Bob Marlette (Black Sabbath, Marilyn Manson, Atreyu), the new album is a darker heavy-rock affair, dripping with swagger, anger and killer hooks.
Micky describes the album, “After being blessed with such an incredible touring history, we owed it to everyone to come back with a world class record. David really pushed us creatively, emotionally and physically to literally rip open up our souls on every track. Dr Lester Grinspoon, Associate Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School has much to answer for, as it was he who first highlighted the positive medicinal uses of Marijuana. KEVIN RIDLEY - 'FLYING IN THE FACE OF LOGIC’

GLOBAL MUSIC are pleased to announce the release of ‘Flying In The Face Of Logic’, the first solo album from singer/songwriter Kevin Ridley; producer/vocalist with folk-metal pioneers Skyclad.
The album contains 14 original tracks, mainly inspired by the singer’s native Northeast (England) so fittingly, it features several northern session players – notably Northumbrian pipes player Andy May, Folkworks fiddle player, Sophy Ball, and former Blitzkrieg bassist, Dave Anderson – as well as contributions from the current members of Skyclad.
Ridley describes the record as a form of continuation from Skyclad’s ‘Semblance of Normality’:
“‘Semblance...’ was the first album where all the band members involved had roots in Northern England and references were buried within the songs. It was something I wanted to explore, so ‘Flying In The Face Of Logic’ became autobiographical and based upon my personal stories of life, love and growing up in the North-East of England.”
After spending 35 years in the music industry, engineering and producing for thrash-metalers Venom, Forgodsake, Anathema, Pariah and Skyclad, Kevin Ridley took the opportunity to emerge from behind the mixing desk and experience the role of a player, rather than Producer.
Five years in the making, Ridley described the journey of writing the album as a challenge of learning “how to fly and make my own rules”.
‘Flying In The Face Of Logic’ was produced by Kevin Ridley; recorded at Newcastle’s Blast Studio, and mixed by Dario Mollo (Glenn Hughes/Tony Martin/Lacuna Coil). Available 4th July 2011.

SKYCLAD was founded in 1990 by then former Sabbat vocalist Martin Walkyier and Satan/Pariah guitarist Steve Ramsey, the two's aim was to put together the 'ultimate pagan metal band'. Initial ideas for the band included such extravagances as traditional Robin Hood costumes, although these concepts were soon dropped. SKYCLAD are now considered one of the pioneers of folk metal.

Along with shows in Manchester and Newcastle, the legendary New York Dolls have announced two exclusive ‘underground’ London concerts at the Old Vic Tunnels on Wednesday 30th and Thursday 31st March 2011.
Following the tradition of previous Dolls appearances, the intimate concerts will take place underneath London’s historic Waterloo train station in what is described as a network of Victorian red brick tunnels. The shows are limited to just 500 tickets per night, and selling fast (their last small venue show in London at the 100 Club sold out in just 4 minutes!)

Sylvain Sylvain stated about the new recording: “I think this is the most creative record that the New York Dolls, and me and David in particular, have ever done. We’ve worked with a lot of great people and I’m not putting anybody down and I’m not trying to compare it with earlier versions of The Dolls but as far as song-writing goes I think that these are the best songs that we have ever come up with”.

NEW YORK DOLLS first swaggered on to the New York music scene in the early '70s, influencing a generation with its subversive mix of high-decibel rock and high-heeled androgyny. Next to the Dolls, the other so-called glam boys of the time looked like spoiled children who had just toddled home from ballet class.
“You gotta respect the name you hang on the door,” says Sylvain. “And that’s ‘The New York Dolls.’ We never forget that. We go out there and kill’em, that’s what the Dolls do.”

It was with heavy hearts that we all first heard the saddening news about the passing of Stuart Cable, founding member of Killing For Company, former drummer of the Stereophonics and tragically missed son, father, brother and band-mate.
To honour the life’s-work of this talented and giving individual, on July 25th Stuart’s current band members from rock group, Killing For Company, will be releasing a single dedicated to his memory. The proceeds from ‘Former Mining Town’ will be donated towards the charities, Teenage Cancer Trust and Tŷ Hafan, the family hospice for young lives.
In the past Stuart regularly involved himself in charitable events, raising funds throughout the years for Macmillan Cancer, NetAid and other charities. He was part of a billboard campaign for Testicular Cancer Awareness in 2002 and recently completed a 50 mile Welsh Cycle Challenge for PACT – Parents & Abducted Children Together, only a few days before his tragic death.
His Killing For Company band members commented: “To think Stu won’t be joining us on stage anymore is a hard thought to face and although his passing is tragic, we hope to draw some positive from this difficult time. As a band, we are honoured and privileged to have shared the experiences we've had with Stu.
We will be releasing the single, ‘Former Mining Town’, and dedicating it to Stuart, he was hugely proud of the album and this track in particular. All funds raised will be donated to Teenage Cancer Trust and Tŷ Hafan. Not only have we lost a rock legend but also a best friend and the heart of our band. The stage will not be the same without him.”
‘Former Mining Town’ was written and recorded by Killing For Company in 2009 and will be available for download only from July 25th 2010 via iTunes and all other major online stores.

In Therapy’s 20th year of music-making, Global Music are proud to announce a limited edition Digi-pack of the band’s 2009 release, Crooked Timber. This limited ‘Deluxe Gold Edition’ will be available worldwide from July 19th 2010.
The band commented on the making-of-the album: "When the idea of the "Crooked Timber" re-issue was raised we thought it'd be good to tie up the project and collect all the material 'under one roof' so to speak.
While we were at it we got a couple of artists we are fans of to remix/mangle a couple of our live favourites and add to the pot. It should be a good opportunity for those who've yet to get the album to catch up on what they've been missing."

THE GLITTERATI ASK ARE YOU ONE OF US?02/02/2010
GLOBAL MUSIC are proud to announce the return of THE GLITTERATI with their second studio album, 'Are You One Of Us?', due for release across Europe and the UK, April 19th 2010.
Hard-rockers, THE GLITTERATI, first burst onto the scene back in 2003 when they released their debut single 'Do You Love Yourself?' which roused a huge amount of interest from the British music press, including a nomination for Best British Newcomer at the Kerrang! Awards.
Their 2005 self-titled debut, released via Atlantic and produced by Mike Clink (Guns'N'Roses, Metallica), received rave reviews and secured the band a loyal fan-base with energetic live performances supporting acts such as Kings Of Leon, The Killers, Jet, Evanescence, David Lee Roth, The Wildhearts, The Datsuns and Simple Plan. THE GLITTERATI also graced the stages of UK Summer Festivals, T in the Park and Download in 2004 and 2005.
In 2009, they began the process of recording their second album, 'Are You One Of Us?', with producer Matt Hyde (Gallows, Acroama, Trivium, Slipknot) and signed with GLOBAL MUSIC's, DR2 Records.
The band commented: "We went into this album wanting to make a harder, more aggressive sounding record, whilst retaining the hooks and melodies that have always been an important part of The Glitterati sound.
"It's been a long time since our first record, we have been through so much just to get to this point; we cant wait for people to hear the new songs and to start making up for lost time."
The first single 'Fight Fight Fight' was released from November 23rd 2009 as a free download and served as an attractive teaser to the UK press and public of the album to come. The second single 'Overnight Superstar' will be available to download from all major online retailers, April 5th 2010.
2010 will see the THE GLITTERATI back in power, full of swagger and more importantly, full of great songs!
